Turmeric oil is derived from turmeric leaf or root, and it is well-known for its anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, anti-microbial, anti-malarial, anti-tumor, anti-proliferative, anti-protozoal and anti-aging properties. Turmeric has a long history as a medicine, spice and coloring agent. Turmeric essential oil is an extremely impressive natural health agent just like its source — one that appears to have some of the most promising anti-cancer effects around. It helps fight colon cancer, prevent neurologic diseases like Parkinson's, potentially treats epilepsy, aids in reducing arthritis and joint issues, improves liver health, helps combat breast cancer, may reduce some leukemia cells, relieves depression and anxiety, improves the common cold, boosts skin health, reduces facial hyperpigmentation.
It is strongly recommended to dilute it with a carrier oil (any massage oil) before applying on the skin.
For inflammation and pain relief- Mix 2-3 drops of Turmeric oil and 5 drops of carrier oil which could be any cold-pressed oil such as almond oil, olive oil or coconut oil.
For stress relief and aromatherapy: diffuse or inhale two to three drops of turmeric essential oil.
For skin: Add one to two drops of turmeric oil to face washes, skin lotions, serums and face masks for an added antiseptic and anti-inflammatory boost. And remember that it can also help with hyperpigmentation of the skin.
For internal use: Add one drop of turmeric essential oil to water or mix one drop of turmeric oil with a teaspoon of honey or a smoothie. This is an easy alternative to taking turmeric oil capsules.
Do not apply directly on the skin.
